IAFN is delighted to have participated in this year’s Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF) held in Kigali Rwanda, from 2nd to 6th September. IAFN Director General, Robynne Anderson spoke at the Dealroom Knowledge Session that focused on the theme of Mobilizing Catalytic Investments and Access to High Value Markets for Women in Agribusiness. Robynne provided insights on how IAFN is supporting women agripreneurs in overcoming barriers to finance and market access. She highlighted the successes achieved through the FAO-IAFN SME Accelerator Mentorship Programme.
IAFN is partnering with VALUE4HER to select the top 50 finalists of the Women Agripreneurs of the Year Awards (WAYA) to participate in the programme as mentees. The third cohort of the programme is set to launch in October at the FAO World Food Forum to be held in October. To date the programme has benefitted 100 mentees in the last two iterations, supporting them to accelerate their businesses to the next level.
