This year’s World Milk Day celebration, held under the theme “Let’s Celebrate the Power of Dairy,” brought together participants from more than 100 countries, from Australia to Zimbabwe, spotlighting dairy’s positive contributions to people, economies, and the planet.
World Milk Day 2025 delivered record-breaking results, reaching 1.25 billion people and generating over 2.75 million engagements, more than doubling last year’s reach. This remarkable impact was achieved through a dynamic mix of live events, community gatherings, digital storytelling, social media activations, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership, supported by enhanced tracking to capture activities in an even wider array of global languages.

World Milk Day, established in 2001 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), has grown into a truly global tradition, celebrating the vital role of dairy in healthy diets, sustainable livelihoods, and resilient communities. The campaign is managed by the Global Dairy Platform, with Emerging ag Inc. working closely to coordinate activities and drive global engagement.
