Join us for the Eighth Annual Oatmeal Recipe Contest Awards Ceremony!

Following our eighth oats recipe contest for the Prairie Oat Growers Association’s (POGA) Mexican campaign Avena Canadiense, we are thrilled to host an online Virtual Ceremony to honour the winners. During this virtual ceremony, participants will have the opportunity to meet our winners, learn more about the health benefits of oats and discover this year’s winning recipes!

This year we invited recipes for the following four categories: Inspired by Mexican cuisine, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Creative. There is also a special prize for our contestants under 25 years of age.

The contest is an annual event that gives people an opportunity to share recipes using oats with us. This is done to promote the consumption of oats given their many health benefits.  The recipes are available on the Avena Canadiense website and are regularly shared on its social media channels. We encourage you to follow the accounts on Facebook and YouTube to get inspired to make easy and delicious recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacking! 

This year the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CST on 30th June 2022.

Sophie Goudard

Sophie has joined the Emerging ag team in the role of Operations Manager, and focuses primarily on team logistics, scheduling and event planning.
A French national from a mixed background, Sophie holds a Master of Arts in International Cultural Exchange Strategies from the Institute of Political Sciences of Lyon, a BA in Legal Studies and Political Science from the Institute of Political Sciences of Rennes and a BA in History. Sophie speaks English and Spanish after living in North America for twelve years and studying in Mexico, she became proficient in German in the last 8 years working mostly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She currently lives in France.
