Omar Farhate

Omar Farhate joined Emerging Ag in 2023. Recently graduated, he holds three Masters in Agricultural Sciences from Morocco, Spain and France and is an Erasmus Mundus Scholar.

Prior to joining Emerging ag, he was the Global President of the International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences (IAAS) where he pioneered the network’s involvement in global policy issues related to youth in the food systems space, and worked on youth-led projects across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America.

Omar is a Moroccan national having lived in five different countries and is fluent in (Moroccan) Arabic, French, English, Spanish and has knowledge of Dutch and Italian.
