This year is going to be quite interesting. There are a number of key events that are lined up. Also, it’s an exciting opportunity to reflect on last year’s run with the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF<\/a>), and the number of key platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I find particularly interesting is how food systems are evolving in response to a range of challenges\u2014from food security and climate change to growing demands and shifting global priorities. At the same time, there is a growing recognition of the need to deepen collaboration and work across sectors and stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of this speaks to the power of coming together, joining forces, and delivering something truly impactful. For me, one of the most exciting aspects is the energy and commitment that teams bring to this work. It\u2019s not only about collaboration within the team itself, but also about reaching beyond organizational boundaries to build meaningful partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we head into another season of summits and conferences, I caught up with my colleagues Steve Ngunyi<\/a>, Special Advisor, and Maddie Wong<\/a>, Policy Officer at Emerging ag<\/a>, to discuss what we are seeing across the food systems landscape and what makes this period such an important one for collaboration and action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
