Honestly we haven\u00b4t, but the Mexicans have!<br \/> As part of the promotional activities, POGA held two recipe contests through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Avena.Canadiense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Avena Canadiense<\/i><\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en-US\"> Fan Page profile targeting Mexican users.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Launched in February, the first recipe contest concluded successfully with 3 winners and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Avena.Canadiense\/photos\/?tab=album&amp;album_id=1665782697028997\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span lang=\"en-US\">64 recipes<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en-US\"> submitted by Mexican users. Given the incredible response, POGA launched a second contest in May which drew in a whopping <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Avena.Canadiense\/photos\/?tab=album&amp;album_id=1709928535947746\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span lang=\"en-US\">160 oats recipes<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en-US\">! They include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>45 desserts<\/li>\n<li>28 main dishes<\/li>\n<li>20 breads and muffins<\/li>\n<li>19 pancakes and burgers<\/li>\n<li>12 Mexican dishes<\/li>\n<li>10 cookies<\/li>\n<li>6 lasagna or pasta dishes<\/li>\n<li>6 hotcakes recipes<\/li>\n<li>5 appetizers<\/li>\n<li>4 soups<\/li>\n<li>5 miscellaneous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/avenacanada.com\/component\/yoorecipe\/recipe\/30-alfajores-saludables-de-coco-sin-horno\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span lang=\"en-US\">winning recipe<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"en-US\"> was a healthy version of the Spanish cookie dessert called \u201calfajores\u201d which swapped sugar with dates, stevia, coconut and yogurt. This oats <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>alfajores<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> dish was created by Montserrat Petriciolet, a 19 year old resident of Oaxaca, who won $600. Four more recipes were distinguished for their creativity, nutritional value and taste.
