Engaged day to day in the project\u2019s activities, Emerging Ag\u2019s services range from strategy development and training to content creation and messaging support.<\/p>\n<p>Working with Target Malaria allows Emerging to bring to bear its expertise in the field of biotechnology, development and innovation, through a full suite of services delivered in both French and English to the Target Malaria teams.<\/p>\n<p>Some examples of the work Emerging Ag has facilitated and delivered for Target Malaria include:<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12 vc_col-lg-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><style>.vcex-heading.vcex_6a5fd8ccc8791{color:var(--wpex-accent);font-size:28px;font-family:'Playfair Display';font-weight:700;}<\/style><h1 class=\"vcex-heading vcex-heading-plain vcex-module wpex-heading wpex-text-2xl wpex-text-left vc_custom_1704827046326 vcex_6a5fd8ccc8791\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner wpex-inline-block\">Supporting stakeholder engagement best practice development<\/span><\/h1>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>For the past ten years, Emerging has worked with Target Malaria to develop their stakeholder engagement practice and help document and share their learnings. In 2022, the Target Malaria Mali team concluded its work, ending a decade-long participation in the project. Emerging supported the team\u2019s exit process and worked with the project to prepare a publication highlighting lessons learned from the Mali team\u2019s experience. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/articles\/10.3389\/fbioe.2023.1286694\/full\">peer-reviewed paper<\/a>, published in January 2024, will hopefully contribute to informing future stakeholder engagement for genetic tools for vector control in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12 vc_col-lg-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><style>.vcex-heading.vcex_6a5fd8ccc98f7{color:var(--wpex-accent);font-size:28px;font-family:'Playfair Display';font-weight:700;}<\/style><h1 class=\"vcex-heading vcex-heading-plain vcex-module wpex-heading wpex-text-2xl wpex-text-left vc_custom_1704904196398 vcex_6a5fd8ccc98f7\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner wpex-inline-block\">An expert workshop on community agreement for gene drive research in Africa<\/span><\/h1>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Emerging worked to help organise and facilitate an online workshop co-hosted by Target Malaria, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kemri.go.ke\/\">Kenya Medical Research Institute<\/a> (KEMRI) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pamca.org\/fr\">Pan-African Mosquito Control Association<\/a> (PAMCA). The workshop brought together a number of leading public health experts and researchers with the aim of informing Target Malaria\u2019s approach to seeking community agreement for research activities and building a community of practice with experience on issues related to stakeholder consent and gene drives for vector control. The final design was used to develop branded content including banners,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/targetmalaria.org\/latest\/blog\/meet-the-team-innovating-to-end-malaria\/\">vignettes<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3uGeXUaGziE&amp;list=PL4j19OrfcF4zbW9WcM1zu23INDF0wjHAi&amp;index=2\">videos<\/a>\u00a0for the project\u2019s World Malaria Day and World Mosquito Day campaigns, which received a combined total of over 70k impressions across Target Malaria\u2019s X and LinkedIn channels.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 interactive e-learning tools focused on explaining Target Malaria\u2019s approach to communications and stakeholder engagement, and the project\u2019s framework for seeking community agreement for its research activities. The trainings include a mix of videos, interactive exercises and additional media resources, developed on Imperial College London\u2019s virtual learning environment (VLE) Blackboard.
