Brian Maingi

Brian joined Emerging Ag in 2025 as a Policy Coordinator, bringing a deep passion for multistakeholder policy processes. With a strong background in food, agriculture, and environmental policy, he has actively contributed to these sectors through work and volunteer experiences since his university years.

Prior to joining Emerging Ag, Brian served as a Finance Officer at the Embassy of Costa Rica in Kenya, where he supported financial operations and multilateral engagements at UNEP and UN-Habitat in Nairobi. His work focused particularly on biodiversity and the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) , where he played an active role in high-level discussions, including delivering key messages at the UN Global Youth Environment Assembly.

A Kenyan national, Brian has lived, studied, and worked in Kenya, Costa Rica, and Germany. He holds a Licentiate Degree in Agronomic Engineering from EARTH University in Costa Rica.
