At Emerging, Ben works on policy analysis and client engagement in international policy fora, in particular related to biodiversity, public health and conservation. He has contributed to the development of strategy and policy on responsible research, and he supports ongoing efforts to develop best practices for stakeholder engagement in the field of emerging technologies.
Before joining Emerging, Ben worked with the Office of Evaluation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and has contributed to the University of Toronto’s Journal of Middle East Studies. He has an abiding interest in international relations and development.
Ben has a Master’s degree in International Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) London, UK and studied European Politics and Human Geography at both the University of Toronto and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. Ben is a Canadian national who speaks English and French fluently, and has lived in places as diverse as Rome, Brussels, New Delhi and Tehran. He is currently based in London.
